Positioning the unit
To move the unit on a cart, the following operating steps must be followed:

Unit Connection

Eligible personnels from Whale should perform the initial unit installation.
Before connecting the Portable Ultrasound Diagnostic Scanner, check the
power adapter unit and cord, and ensure the voltage level conforms to elec-
trical safety requirements.
Ensure that the power cords, cables and plugs are specially designed for Por-
table Ultrasound Diagnostic Scanner, and that they are intact.
This equipment should have its own dedicated grounded power connec-
tion, do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.

Ensure the unit is shut down completely.
Ensure the LCD screen is folded to the fully closed position.
Ensure all cables are disconnected, and the power cables are on the
cart.
Ensure all probes are put on the cart, and the probe cables are
stored neatly. No protruding or tangling cables.
Ensure that no loose items are left on the unit.
Be careful when crossing the door or elevator thresholds.
Be careful when moving the unit on inclines.
Do not attempt to move the unit using cables or probe connectors.
Ensure that the unit doesn't strike walls or door frames.
Ensure that the path of travel is clear.
Move the unit slowly and carefully.
Failure to provide a grounded circuit can cause electrical shock, result-
