This section covers:
8.1.1

Planned Maintenance

The user is responsible for ensuring that ultrasound system is safe for daily
use. Every day before use, execute all steps of the Daily Checklist. All compo-
nents of the system, including control panel, keyboard and probes, should
be cleaned and disinfected when necessary.

Unit cleaning
Prevention of the static electricity interference
Check the appearance of all probes. Do not use a broken, punctured
and discolored probe.
Check the appearance of all power cables. If the power cable is worn,
cracked or aged, do not turn the power on.
Ensure the trackball, TGC sliders and other controls on the control pan-
el clean without colloid or other dirt.
After unit is powered on, check the screen display and brightness.
Check the current date and time.
Check the probe orientation marker and frequency.
The user must ensure that safety inspections are performed at least
every 12 months according to the requirements of the patient safety
CAUTION
standard IEC 60601-1.
Only a trained personnel are allowed to perform the safety inspections
CAUTION
mentioned above.
