Cardiac Measurement in M Mode
In M mode, users can carry out the measurements of MV, AV/LA and LV. The
following table lists the measurement items, descriptions and measurement
methods of cardiac measurements defined in the system, and the measured
results will be displayed in the corresponding measurement worksheet and
patient report.

Enter 2D mode and press Measure key on the control panel to enter
the measurement interface.
Select the MV measurement item from the cardiac measurement
soft menu (taking mitral valve for example); then click MV to display
the measurement items of mitral valve, and click MVA.
The area method measurement displays in the main menu, select
Ellipse measurement.
Rotate the trackball and press Set key on the control panel to posi-
tion the starting point of the ellipse. Rotate the trackball and press
Set key again to position an axis of the ellipse. Rotate the trackball
and press Set key to position the other axis of the ellipse.
The measurements will be displayed in the Measurement result ta-
ble, and saved to the worksheet and report.
In the cardiac measurement items menu, select the MV measure-
ment Item (using mitral valve as example). Click MV to display the
measurement items of mitral valve, and click MVA.
The area method measurement displays in the main menu: press
the toggle to select Trace measurement.
Put the first caliper on the starting point of line segment.
Press Set key on the control panel.
Roll the trackball to display the tracing line, and press Set key on the
control panel after tracing to the end point.
The measurements will be displayed in the Measurement result ta-
ble, and saved to the worksheet and report.
