Measurement
STEP 4
HR Measurement
Function: To calculate the slope via measuring the distance between two
points on M mode ultrasound image.
Click the toggle to switch to Slope, and refer to Distance Measurement for
the methods of slope measurement, which will not be introduced in detail
here.
Time Measurement
Function: To measure the time interval between two respective points of the
M mode image.

Distance Ratio and Time Ratio Measurements
Please refer to distance measurement and time measurement above for spe-
cific operating methods, and the results will be displayed in the Measure-
ment result table.
General Doppler Mode Measurement
You can carry out the following general measurements in Doppler mode
(Refer to the following figure):
Velocity Measurement
Function: This measurement is used to calculate speed.

Roll the trackball to set the vertical dotted lines, and align the end
points on the dotted line, press Set key on the control panel to lo-
cate the vertical line segment. The measured results will be dis-
played in the Measurement result table.
Select Time to switch to the measurement for time interval.
Use the trackball and press Set on the control panel to position the
dotted line at the starting point of the time interval.
Move the trackball and another dotted line will appear, press Set
key on the control panel to position the end point of the time inter-
val. The time interval between two respective points will be dis-
played in the Measurement result table.

Enter PW mode, and press Measure key on the control panel to en-
ter the PW measurement mode.
Select the toggle Velocity to switch to the flow velocity measure-
ments.
A horizontal and vertical intersecting cursor appears. Roll the track-
ball to adjust the position of focus, press Set key on the control pan-
