Using TVD Mode

Description
Enables the Doppler spectrum to be flipped 180 degrees,
so that negative velocities are displayed above the base-
line and positive velocities below the baseline.
Controls the amount of acoustic power applied in all
modes. When power is set to maximum acoustic power
permitted by the FDA. The Thermal index (TI) and the
Mechanical index (MI) are displayed on the screen.
Description
Turn the gain knob to adjust the overall brightness of the
image. Turn clockwise to make the image brighter, and
turn counterclockwise to make darker.
(only available in 2D image activation) Use the TGC control
sliders to adjust the brightness at the different depth.
Move the slider left to decrease the brightness at the cor-
responding depth; Move the slider right to increase the
brightness at the corresponding depth.
(only available in 2D image activation) Flip the Depth
knob to adjust the range of scan depth. Flip the down-
wards to make the range of view larger; and flip the
upwards to make the range of view smaller.
Toggles between 2D imaging and live time-motion imag-
ing.
Display more Main menu controls: AMM, TVI (phased array
probe), TDI (phased array probe).
Start TVD mode
Press Cursor key on the control panel, a scanning screen with
STEP 1
a Doppler cursor on the 2D image will appear.
Use the trackball to position the Doppler cursor line and the
STEP 2
sample volume location over the area of interest.
Press Alt key on the control panel, and select TDI parameter on
STEP 3
the main menu. A scanning screen is displayed with a Doppler
cursor on the 2D mode image and a Doppler spectrum in the
lower part of the screen.
Stop imaging by pressing Freeze key on the control panel.
Optimize the image by adjusting the image controls describe in the
previous section.
