Optimizing EI Mode
Preset generally gives optimal performance with minimal adjustment. If
necessary, the following controls can be used to further optimize the EI
Mode display:
144
Description
Adjusted by the knob below the TGC on the control panel.
When rotated clockwise, increases the overall gain applied
to the received echo signals equally for all depth.
Compensates for depth-related attenuation in an image.
The sliders nearest the operator affect the far field. TGC
amplifies returning signals to compensate for the attenua-
tion caused by tissue at increasing depths.
Adjusting the depth will influence diagram frame rate and
resolution. Decreasing the depth may allow for higher
frame rate and lower resolution.Increasing the depth will
increase image resolution and decrease frame rate.
Enables multiple image display windows in which two or
four images can be viewed simultaneously.
Display more Main menu controls: Simultaneous, EI (linear
array probe and convex array probe).
While in 2D mode, press Alt key on the control panel, then select EI
parameter on the Main Menu.
Use the trackball to position the Color ROI over the area to be exam-
ined.
Rolling the trackball to adjust the position of the Color ROI.
To adjust the Color ROI size, press Set key on the control panel and
use the trackball.
To enlarge or narrow the Color ROI, roll the trackball to the left or
right.
To lengthen or shorten the Color ROI, roll the trackball up or down.
