Using 2D Mode
The 2D mode is the default mode of Portable Ultrasound Diagnostic Scan-
ner.
In other modes, press 2D key on the control panel to activate 2D mode.
Optimizing 2D Mode
The following controls can be adjusted to optimize the 2D mode display:
Rev 1.00
Description
Control and adjust the image tint. Tint is available in both
Live and Freeze.
Controls the amount of acoustic power applied in all
modes. When power is set to maximum, it is equal to or
less than the maximum acoustic power permitted by the
FDA. When power is reduced, the signal-to-noise ratio
decreases, resulting in potentially noisier image.
Description
Adjusted by the knob below the TGC on the control panel.
When rotated clockwise, increases the overall gain applied
to the received echo signals equally for all depth.
Compensates for depth-related attenuation in an image.
The sliders nearest the operator affect the far field. TGC
amplifies returning signals to compensate for the attenua-
tion caused by tissue at increasing depths.
Adjusting the depth will influence diagram frame rate and
resolution. Decreasing the depth may allow for higher
frame rate and lower resolution. Increasing the depth will
increase image resolution and decrease frame rate.
Enables multiple image display windows in which two or
four images can be viewed simultaneously.
Display more Main menu controls: Pano (linear array
probe), AMM, TVI (phased array probe), TDI (phased array
probe), EI (linear array probe and the convex array probe),
SRI (phased array probe).
Use the Gain and TGC controls to optimize the overall image.
Use the Depth control to adjust the range to be imaged.
Use the Focus Pos. /Focus Number control to center the focal point(s)
on the region of interest.
Use the Freq. (increment frequency) increase resolution in image.
