Basic Measurement Procedures
In general, the basic measurement procedures are as follows:

General Measurement

General measurements and calculations refer to all the measurements and
calculations that can be performed in the current inspection mode. There
are different general measurement items for each type of imaging modes.
The specific methods of general measurements are displayed in the soft
menu. General measurements and calculations include the measurements
and calculations of general 2D mode (including modes of B, Color, DPDI,THI,
TVI, and PDI), general M mode (including modes of M, AMM,CM) and Dop-
pler mode (including modes of PW, CW, TVD).
General 2D-mode Measurements
In 2D mode, you can set its measurement method in the Preset or select the
measurement method through the main menu (Refer to the following fig-
ure):

on the sub-menu above the screen. The default settings for general
measurement methods can be adjusted here.
Enter the desired mode, and press Measure key on the control pan-
el.
Select a general measurement or use the trackball to select a Special
Measurement.
Use the trackball and Set key to measure the desired area of the im-
age; and press Store key on the control panel to save the image.
Results of the measurements will be displayed on the Measurement
result Table.
To remove the measuring scale and measurement result in the im-
age, press Page Erase key on the keyboard to clear the screen (How-
ever, the measurement data will be saved to the report and
worksheet).
After the measurement is completed, the Special Measurement re-
sults will be saved to the report and the worksheet for viewing and
editing.
