Chapter 7 - System Operation
Angle Measurement
Function: To measure the angle between two intersecting planes on the ul-
trasonic plane, of which the larger angle is α, and the smaller angle is β, and
these two angles will be displayed in the Measurement result table.

Access the measurement menu.
STEP 1
Press the function key to select the toggle Area, then select El-

Roll the trackball to position the first measurement mark, and

press Set key. Roll the trackball again, and the system will dis-
play an ellipse. Press Set key to position an axis of the ellipse.
Roll the trackball to adjust the shape of the ellipse along its

second axis. Press Set key to confirm the ellipse and display the
measuring data to the Measurement result table.
Making a trace Area Measurement
Function: calculating the area/circumference using manual traces.
Activate the measurement function.

Press the function key to select the toggle Area in the mea-
STEP 2
surement menu, then select Trace.
Roll the trackball and press Set key to position the first mea-
STEP 3
surement mark.Roll the trackball again to display the second
measurement.
Roll the trackball and a trace line will be generated from the
STEP 4
cursor movement. Press Set key to position the second mark,
and the system will display the circumference and area of the
tracing in the Measurement result table.
Click Angle in the measurement menu to select the angle measure-
ment.
Roll the trackball to put the caliper on the image, and position the
first measurement mark and press Set key.
Roll the trackball to move the caliper to position the second mea-
surement mark, then press Set key and a line segment will occur.
Roll the trackball to position the third measurement mark and press
Set key.
Roll the trackball to move the caliper to position the fourth mea-
surement mark, then press Set key and another line segment will
occur.
The angle measurement between these two line segments will be
displayed in the Measurement result table.
