2- Check to be sure the proper hose is
connected
to the correct
buretor.
The hose on the left in the accom-
panying illustration
and the hose on the right is the fuel supply
line.
Notice
the
rib extending
length of the fuel hose.
3- Remove the fuel tank cap.
nect the retaining
chain from inside of the
fuel cap.
The chain may hang free inside
the fuel tank.
4- If the chain cannot be disconnected
from
the
cap by removing
screw,
then
remove
inside the tank.
The chain and cap can then
be removed as an assembly.
5- Remove the cotter pin from the push-
knob on the fuel pump plunger.
6- Remove the push knob from the pump
plunger.
If the knob is "frozen" and cannot
be removed easily, hold the plunger with a
pair of pliers and work the knob free with a
second pair of pliers.
