9-10 HAND STARTERS
4A- Lower the spool assembly down over
the spring and engage
into the tang of the inner spring.
5A-
Start the two upper screws through
the upper bearing support.
the guide is in place in the bottom and top
retainers. Tighten the two bottom retainer
screws.
7- Insert a large size screwdriver
the top of the spool, and then rotate
spool, by count, exactly
turns. Lift the pinion gear to engage the
flywheel ring gear, and then slip a pair of
plier handles under the pinion gear to hold it
in mesh with the ring gear.
8- Feed one end of the new rope through
the spool anchor, make a loop, and then
thread the end back through the hole in the
anchor, but DO NOT pull it tight
time, leave a loop.
