Vorbereitung
Der Hauptbildschirm erscheint und das
HF-Gerät ist betriebsbereit.
Die Parameter des zuletzt gewählten
Programms erscheinen auf dem Display.
1 Wird das Gerät auf der Frontplatte aus-
geschaltet, ist der Standby-Modus aktiviert.
4. 3 Instrumentarium anschließen
e Vor dem Anschluss des Instrumentariums
Folgendes sicherstellen:
• Zubehörkombinationen, die nicht in
der Gebrauchsanweisung erwähnt
sind, nur verwenden, wenn sie
ausdrücklich für die vorgesehene
Anwendung bestimmt sind.
Leistungsmerkmale sowie Sicherheits-
anforderungen immer beachten.
• Die Isolation des Zubehörs (z. B.
HF-Kabel, Instrumente) ist für die
maximale Ausgangsspitzenspannung
ausreichend bemessen (siehe
IEC 60601-2-2 und IEC 60601-2-18).
• Das HF-Gerät ist für den Anschluss
von HF-Kabeln mit 3 m oder 4 m
Länge vorgesehen.
• Zubehör mit defekter Isolation nicht
verwenden.
4. 3. 1 Instrumentarium für unipolare
Anwendung
1. Das Neutralelektrodenkabel in die Buchse
für die Neutralelektrode einstecken und den
zugehörigen Neutralelektrodentyp wählen, siehe
Kapitel Neutralelektrode auswählen, Seite 36.
Die Beleuchtung der Buchse erlischt.
Die Taste der Neutralelektrode wechselt von
grau in die Messwert-Farbe (grün, gelb oder rot).
2. Den Elektrodenhandgriff an eine der beiden
unipolaren Anschlussbuchsen anschließen.
– oder –
Bei Zubehör ohne Fingertaster: Den Fußschalter
und das unipolare Anschlusskabel anschließen.
– oder –
Das Unipolarkabel an eine der beiden
unipolaren Anschlussbuchsen für unipolare
Instrumente anschließen.
Preparation
The main screen appears, and the HF device is
ready for use.
The parameters of the most recently selected
program appear on the display.

Connecting instruments

e Before connecting instruments, ensure that the
following conditions are met:
• Combinations of accessories not
mentioned in the instruction manual
may be used only if they are explicitly
designed for the intended use. Always
observe performance characteristics
and safety requirements.
• The insulation of the accessories (e.g.
HF cables and instruments) must be
sufficient for the maximum peak output
voltage (see IEC 60601-2-2 and IEC
60601-2-18).
• The HF device is designed for
connection of HF cables measuring
3 m or 4 m in length.
• Do not use accessories with defective
insulation.
4. 3. 1 Instruments for unipolar
application
1. Plug the neutral electrode cable into the socket
for the neutral electrode and choose the cor-
responding neutral electrode type, see chapter
Selecting the neutral electrode, page 36.
The socket illumination goes dark.
The neutral electrode button changes from gray
to the measurement color (green, yellow or red).
2. Connect the electrode handpiece to one of the
two unipolar connection sockets.

In the case of an accessory without a finger
button: Connect the footswitch and unipolar
connecting cable.
– or –
Connect the unipolar cable to one of the two uni-
polar connection sockets for unipolar instruments.
Preparación
La pantalla principal aparece acto seguido y el
aparato de AF está dispuesto para el servicio.
En la pantalla aparecen los parámetros del
programa seleccionado en último lugar.
1 Si se desconecta el aparato en la placa
frontal, queda activado el modo standby.
4. 3 Conexión del instrumental
e Antes de conectar el instrumental, compruebe
los siguientes puntos:
• Únicamente deben utilizarse combina-
ciones de accesorios no indicadas en
el Manual de instrucciones si dichas
combinaciones han sido especificadas
expresamente para la aplicación prevista.
Observe siempre las características de
potencia y los requisitos de seguridad.
• El aislamiento de los accesorios (p. ej.,
cable de AF, instrumentos) presenta unas
dimensiones suficientes para la máxima
tensión de cresta de salida (véanse CEI
60601-2-2 y CEI 60601-2-18).
• El aparato de AF está previsto para la
conexión de cables de AF con 3 m o
4 m de longitud.
• No deben utilizarse accesorios con
aislamiento defectuoso.
4. 3. 1 Instrumental para aplicaciones
unipolares
1. Introduzca el cable del electrodo neutro en el
conector previsto para dicho electrodo y escoja
el tipo de electrodo neutro correspondiente;
véase al efecto el capítulo Selección del
electrodo neutro en la pág. 36.
La iluminación del conector se apaga.
La tecla del electrodo neutro cambia del color gris
al color de valor medido (verde, amarillo o rojo).
2. Conecte el mango para electrodos a uno de los
dos conectores unipolares.
– o bien –
En caso de utilizar accesorios sin pulsador dac-
tilar: conecte el interruptor de pedal y el cable
de conexión unipolar.
– o bien –
Conecte el cable unipolar a uno de los dos conec-
tores unipolares para instrumentos unipolares.
