3 Maintenance Procedures
Replacing the vent-valve cartridge
Warning:
when you handle solvents, change tubing, or operate the ISM. Consult
the Material Safety Data Sheets regarding the solvents you use.
Caution:
chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves when replacing the vent-valve
cartridge.
Required materials
•
Gloves: clean, powder-free, chemical-resistant
•
Vent-valve cartridge
Required tools
•
1/4-inch, open-end wrench
•
Allen wrench, 2-mm (startup kit)
To replace the vent-valve cartridge:
1.
In the Instrument console, from the system tree select ISM.
2.
In the ISM information window, click Interactive Display.
3.
In the ISM Interactive Display dialog box, click Control
4.
Ensure the vent valve is set to the Vent position.
To change the setting to Vent, click the underlined vent-valve
Tip:
position, and select Vent.
