CLI mode management
There are two methods for CLI mode management: remote telnet and operation from a
console port. Remote telnet is an IP-based protocol and a console port operates the
industrial managed switches locally only, but their operations are the same.
The command line user interface is for performing system administration such as
displaying statistics or changing option settings. When this method is used, you can
access the industrial managed switch remote telnet interface from a personal computer
or workstation in the same Ethernet environment as long as you know the current IP
address of the industrial managed switches.
