PERIODIC MAINTENANCE CHART

• Tires - check condition and pressures
2

• Engine oil — check for proper level; do not overfill oil tank
• All brakes - check operation and adjustment (includes auxiliary brake)
• Throttle - check for free operation and closing

• Ignition switch - check for proper function

• Air cleaner element - check for dirt; clean or replace
• Steering - check for free operation noting any unusual looseness in any area

• Engine coolant - check for proper level at the recovery bottle
• Check all rear suspension components for wear or damage

COLD WEATHER OPERATION

If the vehicle is used year-round, check the oil level frequently. A rising oil level could indicate the accumulation of
contaminates such as water or excess fuel in the bottom of the crankcase. Water in the bottom of the crankcase can
lead to engine damage and must be drained. Water accumulation increases as outside temperature decreases.

BREAK-IN PERIOD

VEHICLE BREAK-IN PERIOD

The break-in period for your new G-100 vehicle is the first 25 hours of operation, or the time it takes to use the first two
tanks full of gasoline. No single action on your part is as important as a proper breakin period. Careful treatment of a
new engine and drive components will result in more efficient performance and longer life for these components.
Perform the following procedures carefully.
NOTE
Excessive heat build-up during the first three hours of operation will damage close-fitted engine parts and drive
components. Do not operate at full throttle or high speeds during the first three hours of use.
Use of any oils other than those recommended by TAYLOR-DUNN may cause serious engine damage. We
recommend the use of POLARIS PS-4 Full Synthetic 5W-50 4-Cycle Oil for your 4-cycle engine.

ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN BREAK-IN

1. Fill the fuel tank with gasoline. Always exercise extreme caution whenever handling gasoline.
2. Check the oil level. Add the recommended oil as needed to maintain the oil level in the safe operating range.
3. Complete the New Operator Driving Procedures outlined in the vehicle Owner's Manual.
4. Avoid aggressive use of the brakes.
5. Vary throttle positions. Do not operate at sustained idle.
