CVT DISASSEMBLY

1. Remove the seats.
2. Disconnect the (-) negative battery terminal.
3. Place transmission in neutral.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls. Be
sure machine is secure before beginning this service
procedure.
5. Remove the left rear wheel.
6. Remove the eight clutch cover screws and remove
the outer clutch cover from the vehicle.
7. Mark the drive belt direction of rotation and remove
drive belt (see "DRIVE BELT - Belt Removal").
8. Remove the driven clutch retaining bolt and driven
clutch assembly.
9. Install the Drive Clutch Holder.

10. Remove the drive clutch retaining bolt and remove
drive clutch using the Drive Clutch Puller.

NOTE
Be sure to use the correct Drive Clutch Puller to prevent
damage to crankshaft.
11. Loosen hose clamp attaching the CVT inlet duct to
the inner clutch cover. Disengage hose from the inner
clutch cover.
12. Remove the (8) bolts that retain the inner clutch cover
to the engine and transmission. Remove inner clutch
cover. Make note of cable and hose routings for
assembly.
