Front Floor Heatshield-Renew
Repair Operation Time (ROT)

Front Floor Heatshield-Renew
Removal
1. Raise vehicle on ramp.
2. Remove exhaust system (see Workshop Manual
procedure 09.00.NB Exhaust System - Excluding
Manifold/DownPipes - Renew).
3. Remove bolts (x4), nuts (x2), heatshield to body.
4. Remove heatshield.
Installation
1. Install heat shield, install and torque tighten nuts (x2)
and bolts (x4).
2. Install exhaust system (see Workshop Manual procedure
09.00.NB Exhaust System - Excluding Manifold/
DownPipes - Renew).
3. Lower vehicle on ramp.
Exhaust Silencer Heatshield-Renew

Exhaust Silencer Heatshield-Renew
Removal
1. Raise vehicle on ramp.
2. Remove rear exhaust silencer assembly (see Workshop
Manual procedure 09.00.KA Silencer and Bypass Valve
Assembly - Remove for Access & Refit
3. Remove bolts (x4), heatshield to body.
4. Release heatshield from clips (x2), remove heatshield.
Installation
1. Install heatshield, secure in clips (x2), install and tighten
bolts (x4) to correct torque.
2. Install rear exhaust silencer assembly (see Workshop
Manual procedure 09.00.KA Silencer and Bypass Valve
Assembly - Remove for Access & Refit).
3. Lower vehicle on ramp.
Tunnel Heatshield-Renew
Repair Operation Time (ROT)

Tunnel Heatshield-Renew
Removal
1. Remove centre exhaust pipe assembly (see Workshop
Manual procedure 09.00.BC Pipe - Exhaust Centre -
Renew).
October 2005
2. Remove bolts/washers (x4) securing tunnel heatshield to
body, remove heatshield.
Installation
1. Install tunnel heatshield, install washers/nuts (x), torque
tighten nuts.
2. Install centre exhaust pipe assembly (see Workshop
Manual procedure 09.00.BC Pipe - Exhaust Centre -
Code
Renew).

Bulkhead Heatshield-Renew
Repair Operation Time (ROT)

Bulkhead Heatshield-Renew
Removal
1. Remove engine (see Workshop Manual procedure
03.00.AA Engine Assembly - Remove for Access & Refit).
2. Disconnect A/C pipes from HVAC (bolts x2).
3. Disconnect heater feed and return hoses from HVAC
(clips x2).
4. Remove heatshield (nuts x2, bolts x2).
Installation
1. Replace o-rings on A/C pipes.
2. Install heatshield (nuts x2, bolts x2).
3. Connect heater feed and return hoses to HVAC (clips
x2).
Code
4. Connect A/C pipes to HVAC (bolts x2) (torque).
