To reset and start an Aston Martin Vantage after charging the battery, follow these steps:
1. Ensure Sufficient Charge – Charge the battery for a few hours or a full day on a low setting. 2. Check Electrical Systems – Turn on the headlights to see if dip and full beam work, and check if the height adjusters function. If not, the battery may be faulty. 3. Use the Key to Reset – Insert the key into the ignition and turn it on. If the battery has enough charge, the system will reset. 4. Battery Reset Switch (Older Models) – On early models, locate the battery reset switch behind the driver's seat and activate it. 5. Jump Start (If Necessary) – If the car does not start, connect a donor battery using proper jump-starting procedures: - Position the donor vehicle and keep its engine running. - Access the jump start terminal in the engine bay. - Use good-quality jump leads to connect the positive and negative terminals correctly. 6. Replace Battery if Needed – If the battery does not hold a charge, replace it before attempting to start the vehicle.
Following these steps should reset the system and allow the car to start.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the Vantage and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
after charging my battery the car will not crank to start, is there a reset procedure I must follow? Please advise
5. Jump Start (If Necessary) – If the car does not start, connect a donor battery using proper jump-starting procedures:
- Position the donor vehicle and keep its engine running.
