18.2 Activating Easy Message
To commission the connection to the modem for the SMS Messenger, activate the SIM card
at the initial start-up.
Requirement
The modem is connected and activated.
Procedure

1. Select the "Diagnostics" operating area.
2. Press the "Easy Msg." softkey.
Machine manufacturer
The modem is activated via the machine data 51233
$MSN_ENABLE_GSM_MODEM.
Please refer to the machine manufacturer's specifications.
1. Press the "Easy Msg." softkey.
The "SMS Messenger" window appears.
"Status" shows that the SIM card has not been activated with a PIN.
