Install the air baffle on page 51.
6.
Install the access panel on page 49.
7.
Do one of the following:
Server in tower mode: Position the tower server for operation on page 42.
Server in rack mode: Slide the server into the rack on page 47.
8.
Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
9.
Connect each power cord to the server.
10. Connect each power cord to the power source.
11. Power up the server on page 38.
12. Install the front bezel on page 40.
13. Install the power supply.
The installation is complete.

Internal USB device options

The server has one internal USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port. Use these ports to install internal USB
devices such as:
USB flash media devices for booting up from flash solutions or for data backup/redundancy.
USB RDX drives for an inexpensive and reliable way to securely store your data backups.
For RDX drive installation, see Installing a USB RDX drive on page 102.

Installing an internal USB device

Procedure
1.
Remove the front bezel on page 39.
2.
Power down the server on page 38.
3.
Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4.
Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
5.
Do one of the following:
