11. If the fan cage was removed, do the following:
a. Make sure that all the system cables that are routed through the front cable channel are properly
secured in the metal cable tabs. This is done to prevent system damage due to cables being
inadvertently caught under the fan cage.
b. Install the fan cage on page 55
12. Install the air baffle on page 51.
13. Install the access panel on page 49.
14. Do one of the following:
Server in tower mode: Position the tower server for operation on page 42.
Server in rack mode: Slide the server into the rack on page 47.
15. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
16. Connect each power cord to the server.
17. Connect each power cord to the power source.
18. Power up the server on page 38.
19. Install the front bezel on page 40.
The installation is complete.

The server supports the following storage controllers:
Embedded storage controller – HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 Controller
Type-a modular Smart Array controller (AROC)
Type-p standup plug-in Smart Array controller
The PCIe3 expansion slots 2 and 4 have a ×4 link width. To take advantage of the full features of a ×8 or
×16 expansion boards, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends installing these boards in a ×8 or ×16
expansion slot as well.
