4.4 Setting of Network Configuration

4.4.1 Registration of Slaves (Offline)

Slaves connected to FP7 MC Unit are registered using the EtherCAT communication setting
menu "EtherCAT Configurator" of CMI. The following procedure is explained on the condition
that CMI has already started.
PROCEDURE
1. Select "Parameter" > "EtherCAT communication setting" from the menu bar.
The "EtherCAT Configurator" window is displayed.
2. Right-click on "FP7 Motion Control Unit" in the project explorer.
The context menu is displayed.
3. Select "Append Slave" from the context menu.
The dialog box for selecting slaves is displayed.
