Command
ping
Action
Use this command to verify station‐to‐station
connectivity across the network. The format is as
follows:
ping [{<hostname>|<IP address>} [<tries
(0‐4294967295)> [<msec‐delay (0‐4294967295)>
[<length (0/32‐65500/2080)> [<source IP address>
[<ttl (1‐255)> [<tos (0‐255)>
[dontfragment]]]]]]]
[dataport|mgtport]]
Where:
hostname/IP address: Sets the hostname or
IP address of the target station.
tries: Sets the number of attempts (optional).
msecdelay: Sets the number of milliseconds
between attempts (optional).
length: Sets the ping request payload size
(optional).
source IP address: Sets the IP source
address for the IP packet (optional).
ttl: Sets the Time to live in the IP header.
tos: Sets the Type of Service bits in the IP
header.
dontfragment: Sets the don't fragment bit in
the IP header (only for IPv4 addresses).
By default, the management port is used. To use a
specific port, use the following options:
data port: dataport
management port: mgtport
Note: The DNS parameters must be configured if
specifying hostnames.
