The following options are available to control the forwarding of known and
unknown multicast packets:
 All multicast packets are flooded to the entire VLAN. This is the default switch
behavior.
 Known multicast packets are forwarded only to those ports specified. Unknown
multicast packets are flooded to the entire VLAN. To configure this option,
define the Multicast MAC address for the VLAN and specify ports that are to
receive multicast packets (mac­address­table multicast).
 Known multicast packets are forwarded only to those ports specified. Unknown
multicast packets are dropped. To configure this option:

Enable Flood Blocking on ports that are not to receive multicast packets

(interface port <port alias or number>) (flood­blocking).
Use the following commands to configure static Multicast MAC entries in the
Forwarding Database (FDB).

Command Syntax and Usage
[no] mac­address­table multicast <MAC address> <VLAN ID (1‐4094)>
<port alias or number>
Adds or removes a static multicast entry. You can list ports separated by a
comma ( , ) or enter a range of ports separated by a hyphen ( ­ ). For example:
mac­address­table multicast 01:00:00:23:3f:01 200 1­4
Command mode: Global configuration

Adds or removes a static multicast entry for Network Load Balancing (NLB).
You can list ports separated by a comma ( , ) or enter a range of ports
separated by a hyphen ( ­ ). For example:

Reloads all static multicast entries.
