SWASH MIX

This function sets the mixing of the Swash Plate (known
below as the "swash") with servos 1-4 that is used for
moving the pitch of the main rotor.
This swash mixing is provided to allow the swash plate
operation settings of helicopters incorporating CCPM
systems to be easily carried out.
CCPM is a type of pitch mixing in which the servos are

Swash Plate Compensation Function Operation Switch Selection Method
This function carries out swash compensation (elimination
of peculiarities) during aileron (AILE) and elevator (ELEV)
operation.
Although moving the aileron (elevator) stick moves the
swash left and right (forward and back), in the situation
where there is unintentional movement in the elevator
(aileron) direction at that time, this function is used to
eliminate the movement.
It is believed that this kind of movement is caused in
situations where the gyro precession is shifted from 90°, or
when there is a mechanical discrepancy in the linkage.
Setting of "ON" and "OFF" should be carried out for each
Flight Mode using "SW SEL".
In the situation where Swash Compensation is not required,
be certain to set it to 0%, and set all of the SW SEL buttons
to "OFF", so that normal operation will be carried out.
Regarding the compensation amounts, actually fly the
helicopter to discover the appropriate values.
Setting Method
First, determine the direction of the compensation that you
wish to set. By rotating the dial to highlight the direction
display part that is to be set, then pressing the dial, this part
will become enclosed by a border. Rotating the dial in this
condition will change the setting amount. Pressing the dial
once again will return to the Channel Selection condition.
Further, pressing the
key during setting value adjust-
ment will return to the initial setting of 0%.
Additionally, using the dial to match the "+" or "-" part, then
pressing the dial, will allow the + and – to be inversed.
E-Ring
Although the ideal will be that the swash plate should tilt by
the same amount in all directions throughout 360 degrees,
in previous swash mixing the tilt amount maximum angle
changed for situations in which the control surface was
moved by the aileron (elevator) independently, and
situations where the aileron + elevator were moved simul-
taneously. (When the aileron and elevator are operated
simultaneously, the swash tilts more than the maximum
amount when the swash is tilted independently.) By setting
this function to "ACT", it will be possible to set the swash
tilting angle to be the same in all directions.
directly linked to the swash plate to mechanically operate
the pitch.
In this transmitter, six kinds of swash types can be
selected.
Setting of the swash type should be carried out using the
SWASH TYPE (System Setting Mode) that matches the
format of the swash in the helicopter body.
