How to Charge Battery
Read the precautions on the surface before charging the
battery.
The following are instructions for charging nickel metal-
hydride batteries for the transmitter and the receiver.
In addition, do not connect other rechargeable batteries or
dry cell batteries to the battery charger. When charging, turn
OFF the power of the transmitter and receiver.
1. Connect the battery charger to the AC outlet.
2. Connect the battery charger's connector for transmitter
to the battery charge jack of the transmitter. Otherwise,
connect both battery connectors for the receiver to the
nickel metal-hydride battery for the receiver.
*It indicates an error if the LED is not lighted. In such
case, remove the battery charger's connector and
connect it again. If it is not lighted even after repeating
this process for several times, please consult with your
local hobby store for any assistance on repair (Note:
Store or shop where you have purchased this radio). Or
to contact your JR Sales Agent (JR Distributor) in your
country for further assistance on repair.
3. The battery charger's LED is lighted while the battery is
charged. Confirm that the light is also ON after the charg-
ing is completed.
4. Finish the charging after the designated charging time.
The standard charging time is 16 hours for 8H1500 and
4H1500, and 20 hours for 4H2000.
5. After finishing charging, release all connections immedi-
ately. DO NOT leave them connected at all times.
*A connector (in white color) for the temperature sensor is
attached to the nickel metal-hydride battery of the JR
genuine receiver. The battery cannot be charged without
connecting this connector. DO NOT use NEC-501 for
charging competitors' batteries.
Note: This AC/DC battery charger is capaple to utilize
100V-240V (50Hz~60Hz). If the plug does not fit
with your region's AC outlet, be sure to fit the plug
conversion adaptor for use.

WARNING
Abnormal heat generation or explosion can occur,
please follow the instructions.
Remove the battery charger immediately after completing
charging. Also unplug the battery charger from the AC
outlet.
Handling of the Rechargeable Battery
Since
nickel
metal-hydride
self-discharge rate, discharge proceeds gradually even
when unused.
When a battery is used for the first time after purchase or is
used after being left unused for a long period, be sure to
charge it before use.
In such case, we recommend activating the battery before
use by repeating discharge and charge for several times.
When a battery is not used for a long time, it may be over
discharged. Stop using the battery if the operation time is
extremely short even after repeating discharge and charge
for several times.
Also, the operation time may get shorter if charging is
repeated without enough discharge. In such case, it is
recommended that the battery should be used after enough
discharge and recharge.
Charging in high or low temperature is dangerous.
When charged in high temperature, the temperature switch
may activate for protection.
Due to its characteristics, charging a nickel metal-hydride
rechargeable battery in high temperature can result in
significant reduction of the amount of charge. Do NOT
charge inside a car. Also note that hydrogen gas may
generate during discharge/charge. Do NOT handle the
battery near a fire at any times.
CAUTION
Do not use the battery charger's
cords in a bundled state.
It may generate heat.
