Setting, Connecting, and Mounting of the Receiver
How to Set Bind
1. On the receiver side, connect wires for the servo (and
electric amplifier) and prepare charged batteries.
Note: DO NOT connect the electric motor or start up the
engine before bind setting is completed. The motor
may abruptly start or the engine speed may
increase suddenly, causing a serious danger.
2. Next, perform "bind" so that the receiver can recognize
the transmitter ID. Inserting the bind plug into the BIND
terminal of the receiver, connect the batteries for the
receiver. (When a switch harness is used, turn ON the
power.) Confirm that the receiver LED starts to blink. The
LED continues to blink until binding starts.
3. While pressing the bind button, turn ON the RF output.
Take your finger off the bind button and confirm that the
LED is blinking and wait for a while.
The LED once goes into OFF state. At this time, only the
fail-safe function of the throttle channel is set. Set the
throttle stick to the lowest speed position. Further, as for
the fail-safe function, read the following.
4. Bind setting is completed when all the LEDs of the
transmitter and receiver become lit. If the receiver LED
remains blinking, operate once again.
5. Turn off the receiver and disconnect the bind plug which
has been inserted in the receiver. Also turn OFF the
transmitter.
6. Connect the servo to the receiver and confirm operation.
After turning ON the power of the transmitter, turn ON the
receiver. When the receiver LED lights up and the
receiver recognizes the transmitter, operation will start.
About Fail-Safe
This set is equipped with two kinds of fail-safe functions.
In the ordinary bind method (as mentioned above), the
throttle channel (1 CH) becomes fail-safe and the other
channels remain Hold.
How to Bind Fail-Safe of All Channels
1. Set the receiver to bind state.
Inserting the bind plug and connecting (turning ON)
batteries, confirm that the LED becomes blink state.
2. Disconnect the bind plug.
Confirm that the receiver continues blinking.
3. Set the transmitter stick, lever, switch, etc. to the fail-safe
position which you like. While holding its state and
pushing the bind button, turn ON the RF output. The
LEDs of both the transmitter and the receiver once go
OFF. When they light up again, bind is completed.
4. Turn OFF the power of the transmitter and confirm that
the servo assumes the preset (fail-safe) state.
Mounting
 Some of the internal parts of the receiver are fragile to
the shock of a drop, vibration, etc.
Be sure to mount it so that impact to the airplane is not
directly conveyed to the receiver.
 For mounting, wrap the receiver, batteries, etc. with
rubber foam and fix them with rubber bands.
 Neither bend nor cut off the antenna. Mount the antenna
so as to avoid creation of a bend or cutoff. Any bend or
cutoff can affect sensitivity of the receiver. Also, avoid
attaching it to a metal chassis or a carbon plate, as it can
cause sensitivity drop.
 If exhaust gas directly hits the receiver or servo, oil can
enter them, causing malfunction. Avoid this carefully
when mounting. In the case of airplanes made of carbon
graphite or those provided with a conductive film, make
sure that the antennas are exposed outside the airplane.
Also mount it so as not to come close to the carbon part.
 By viewing from all directions of the airplane, confirm
that there is an antenna which is not hidden by metal
conductor, etc.
CAUTION
On completion of binding, be sure to
remove the bind plug.
Store it carefully. Once binding is performed, only the bound
transmitter and the bound receiver can operate until the
time of next binding.
* Each extra antenna recognizes the transmitter's ID.
Make sure to bind when exchanging the extra antenna.
DANGER
The fail-safe is always set to the
throttle channel. Especially when a
reverse switch is changed, the fail-safe
function may be changed into the full-
throttle position, causing a serious
danger. On completion of transmitter
setting, be sure to perform bind setting
once again.
Be sure to confirm fail-safe. (Turn OFF the transmitter
once and confirm that the servos move to the correct
position.)
