Step

(Initial Check)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly
installed or different from those listed in the specifica-
tions?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) HVPS, (2) MCU PWB, (3) Fuser assembly
(4) LVPS assembly, (5) EP toner cartridge,
(6) Feed roller assembly, (7) Harness assembly P/H
(8) Flat cable LV

Has the printer been securely grounded?

Is there any noise-generating equipment in the near
vicinity?

(Check the flat cable LV.)
Is there continuity between the terminals of the flat
cable LV?

(Check the harness assembly P/H.)
Is there continuity between the terminals of the
harness assembly P/H?

(Check the LVPS assembly.)
Is there continuity between the P114-1PIN and the
frame of the LVPS assembly?

(Check the fuser assembly.)
Is there continuity between the eliminator saw on the
fuser assembly and the frame of the LVPS assembly?
• Check with the fuser assembly installed and the
fuser top cover assembly removed.

(Check the fuser assembly.)
Is there continuity between the heat roller and the
frame of the LVPS assembly?
• Check with the fuser assembly installed.
