2.2 Error/Status Code Search and Operation

Code
1. An error occurred when data was entered in the
non-volatile memory while the power supply

switch was ON.
2. An error occurred when data was entered in the
non-volatile memory.
1. After the ROS began warming up, there was a
break (even as little as 20 seconds) in the SOS
signal that was longer than the standard READY
value.
2. After the ROS began warming up, the laser
diode output did not attain the value that was set

(non-volatile memory data) while the laser beam
was being emitted.
3. After the ROS finished warming up, there was a
break in the SOS signal that was longer than the
standard FAIL value.
(Refer to section 3.2 ROS Controller for these values.)
1. After the fuser finished warming up, the tem-
perature in the fuser was lower than the mini-
mum safe temperature.
2. The fuser was not able to finish warming up
within 120 seconds.
3. A discontinuity in the fuser assembly thermistor
was detected.

4. The temperature in the fuser was higher than the
maximum safe temperature.
5. After the fuser finished warming up, the heater
rod in the fuser assembly was on (it lit up) for 10
seconds after the main motor had stopped.

tures.)

The interlock switch is turned off.
Cause

Operation
Clearing the Display
After cycling down, the main motor, ROS
controller and fuser controller will stop run-
ning.
Turn the power supply switch OFF, then
ON again.
After cycling down, the main motor, ROS
controller and fuser controller will stop run-
ning.
Turn the power supply switch OFF, then
ON again.
After cycling down, the fuser controller
will immediately stop running, then the main
motor and the ROS controller will stop.
Turn the power supply switch OFF, then
ON again.
Immediately stop the fuser controller, the
main motor and the ROS controller.
Turn the power supply switch OFF, then
ON again.
