3.11 Faulty Feed Solenoid

Step
1 (Initial Check)
Are any parts, broken, malformed, incorrectly in-
stalled or different from those listed in the specifica-
tions?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) Feed solenoid, (2) Feed roller assembly
(3) MCU PWB, (4) LVPS assembly
2 (Check that power is supplied to the feed solenoid.) *1
Is the voltage 24VDC between P/J16-2PIN↔P/J11-
7PIN?
3 (Check the ON signal of the feed solenoid.) *1
Is the voltage 0VDC between P/J16-1PIN↔P/J16-
2PIN when the feed solenoid is on, and is the voltage
23VDC when the feed solenoid is off? (Measure using
PEAK HOLD.)
• Check using diagnosis code 80.
*1: Be sure the EP toner cartridge is installed and the front cover assembly is securely closed.
