1.7.8 Counter (Diagnosis Code 30 ("PRINT COUNTER"))

Function

A six-digit, (displayed as a decimal number) is displayed indicating the number of pages that are waiting in the non-
volatile memory to be printed.

Operation
After entering diagnosis mode and choosing diagnosis code 30 with KEY 1 (diagnosis code 30 is automatically
chosen when diagnosis mode is first entered), the print counter will be displayed if KEY 0 is pressed.
Press KEY 0 again to return to the initial display shown when diagnosis code 30 was chosen.
If KEY 1 is pressed while the print counter is displayed, diagnosis code 30 will stop and diagnosis code 02 will be
chosen.
Caution:
The print counter can also be stopped by turning the interlock switch off.

(The example shows 123456 on the print counter.)
Note:
An increase in the print counter turns the feed solenoid signal ON.
The print counter will continue to increase even if a paper jam occurs.

1.8 Non-volatile Settings Mode

1.8.1 Function
This mode allows you to set or determine the values for the resolution and the registration marks when they differ
from those set in the specifications in the non-volatile memory.
Caution:
Since the data in the non-volatile memory is closely related to both the operation and functions of the
printer, be extremely careful when changing the data after it has been set since incorrectly setting the
data can cause many problems.
1.8.2 Entering Non-volatile Settings Mode
1)
Turn the power switch ON while pressing both KEY 0 and KEY 1.
2)
While keeping KEY 1 pressed down, release the SET.KEY (KEY 0).
The LCD will appear as shown below and for every second that the key is held down, the number in the bottom row
will move one position to the right and increase by one.
