3.14 Faulty HVPS CR/TR/DB

Step
1 (Initial Check)
Are any parts broken, malformed, incorrectly installed
or different from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) HVPS, (2) MCU PWB (3) Drive assembly
(4) Harness assembly HVPS, (5) LVPS assembly
2 (Check that power is supplied to the HVPS.) *1
Is a voltage of 24VDC supplied between P15-1PIN
↔P15-9PIN and between P15-2PIN↔P15-9PIN?
3 (Check the HVPS harness assembly.)
Is there continuity between J15↔J151?
4 (Check the drive assembly.)
Does the HVPS touch the end of the plate spring on
the drive assembly?
5 (Check the EP toner cartridge.)
Does the plate spring on the drive assembly touch the
appropriate point on the EP toner cartridge?
6 (Check that the MCU PWB has been properly re-
placed.)
Does the problem recur after the MCU PWB has been
replaced?
*1: Be sure the EP toner cartridge is installed and the front cover assembly is securely closed.
