Step
1
(Initial Check)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly
installed or different from those listed in the specifica-
tions?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) Fuser assembly, (2) Exit sensor
(3) Exit actuator, (4) MCU PWB
(5) Drive assembly, (6) EP toner cartridge
(7) Front cover assembly
(8) ROS assembly, (9) Harness assembly P/H
(10) LVPS assmbly

Is the paper curling?

When the problem occurs, is the paper pressing down
the exit actuator?

(Check the paper size.) *1
Does the size of the paper meet the specifications?

(Check the drive assembly.)
Are the gears in the drive assembly rotating normally
in relation to the feed roller gear, the EP toner car-
tridge gear and the idler gear in the fuser assembly?
• Execute diagnosis code 90 and check that the parts
operate correctly with the top cover removed and
the EP toner cartridge installed.

(Check the feed solenoid.) *2
Is the feed solenoid operating normally?
• Execute diagnosis code 80 and check that the parts
operate correctly with the top cover removed and
the EP toner cartridge installed.
*1: If paper with a length of less than 139.7 mm is fed into the printer, the paper will not be able to detach itself
from the roller and a paper jam will occur.
*2: Do not touch the HVPS or any other high voltage components.
