(Initial Check)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly
installed or different from those listed in the specifica-
tions?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) Pre-regi. sensor, (2) Retard pad
(3) Retard spring, (4) Paper set plate
(5) Paper set lever, (6) Feed roll assembly
(7) Feeder assembly (8) Drive assembly
(9) Harness assembly P/H, (10) MCU PWB
(11) LVPS assembly, (12) Front cover assembly

Is the paper set lever correctly set?

Is the paper curling?

Does the problem recur if the power is turned OFF
and then ON again?

(Check the main motor.)
Is the main motor running normally?
• After executing diagnosis code 90, check that the
parts operate correctly.

(Check the drive assembly.)
Does each gear in the drive assembly rotate correctly?
• After executing diagnosis code 90, check that the
parts operate correctly.

(Check the size of the paper.) *1
Is the paper size consistent with the data set in non-
volatile code A?

(Check the retard pad.)
Is the retard pad in contact with the feed roller
assembly?
• Check that the parts operate correctly.
*1: The direction in which the paper is fed into the printer is determined by the size of the paper as set by the printer.
However, when good quality paper is used, an E2 error may occur.
