(The laser beam is obstructed.)
Is there any foreign matter or grime in the path of the
laser beam between the ROS assembly and the drum?

(The HVPS DB is defective.)
Does the HVPS correctly contact the drive assembly plate spring?

(The image transfer process is malfunctioning.)
Is the image created by the toner correctly transferred
from the drum onto the paper?
• While printing, turn the power OFF at the point at
which you think the image is being transferred onto
the paper and check the image on the drum.

(The EP toner cartridge is defective.)
Does the problem recur if the EP toner cartridge is
replaced with a new one?
Light print
(The density of the overall image is less than the standard print density.)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly installed or different
from those listed in the specifications?

(1) EP toner cartridge, (2) HVPS, (3) Drive assembly, (4) ROS window
(5) ROS assembly, (6) MCU PWB, (7) Harness assembly HVPS
(8) LVPS assembly, (9) Fuser assembly, (10) Harness assembly P/H

Initial Check
Remedy (if not normal)
Replace the paper.
(Instruct the user to store the paper in a
place where the humidity is low.)
Make sure there is good conductivity
along the grounding relay.
Remove any foreign matter or grime
obstructing the path of the laser beam
between the ROS assembly and the drum.
