1.7.7 Output Tests

Function
The output test mode has two functions.
To display the temperature set in the fuser controller and the present temperature in the fuser.
To operate each output components.

Operation
After entering diagnosis mode and choosing the desired diagnosis code with KEY 1, begin the diagnosis by pressing
KEY 0.
To stop diagnosing in output test mode, choose diagnosis code 00 ("EXIT DIAG.") and then press KEY 0.
Warning 1: Do not turn on the interlock switch and the LD switch (on the CRU sensor PWB) at the same time
while checking with the front cover assembly open since the laser beam may be emitted.
If the two switches must be turned on at the same time, be sure to disconnect the connector (P/J171)
from the CRU sensor PWB or the connector (P/J12) from the MCU PWB.
Warning 2: When executing diagnosis code 90, do not try checking the drive since the main motor will be running.
Warning 3: Since a high voltage is generated by the HVPS while executing diagnosis codes 91 ~ 95, do not touch
any high voltage components.
Be sure to correctly follow the procedure in this manual when executing diagnosis codes 91 ~ 95.
Caution 1: To stop diagnosing in output test mode, turn OFF the interlock switch.
Caution 2: When executing diagnosis code 80, the diagnosis will only take 0.5 seconds and will automatically
stop.
Caution 3: More than one diagnosis can be executed in output test mode simultaneously.
Caution 4: If diagnosis code 07, 08, 00 ("SIZE SENSOR") and 00 ("CHECK SUM") is chosen in output test
mode, the diagnosis will automatically begin as soon as the diagnosis code is chosen.
Caution 5: If diagnosis code 07, 08, 00 ("SIZE SENSOR") and 00 ("CHECK SUM") is being executed in output
test mode and the counter or input test diagnosis is started or stopped, the diagnosis in output test mode
will automatically stop.
