Is there any foreign matter or grime in the path of the
laser beam between the ROS assembly and the drum?

(The EP toner cartridge is defective.)
Does the problem recur if the EP toner cartridge is
replaced with a new one?
White bands in the print
(White bands where the image is too light or missing appear on the paper in
the direction in which the paper was fed into the printer.)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly installed or different
from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) EP toner cartridge, (2) MCU PWB, (3) ROS window
(4) ROS assembly, (5) Fuser assembly

Symptom
Initial Check
Remedy (if not normal)
Replace the paper.
(Instruct the user to store the paper in a
place where the humidity is low.)
Remove any foreign matter or grime
obstructing the path of the laser beam
between the ROS assembly and the drum.
Replace the EP toner cartridge.
