(The paper is damp or wrinkled.)
Does the problem recur if new paper is used?

(The EP toner cartridge is defective.)
Are there any irregularities, such as scratches, foreign
matter or grime, along the length of the BCR or BTR?
Are there spots on the surface of the drum?
(If the problem is caused by a faulty BCR or BTR in
the EP toner cartridge, the spots will appear at 47 mm
intervals. If the problem is caused by a faulty drum,
the white spots will appear at 94 mm intervals.)

(The heat roller is defective.)
Are there any irregularities, such as scratches, foreign
matter or grime, on the heat roller?
(If the problem is caused by a faulty heat roller, the
spots will appear at 54 mm intervals.)

(The pressure roller is defective.)
Are there any irregularities, such as scratches, foreign
matter or grime, on the pressure roller?
(If the problem is caused by a faulty pressure roller,
the spots will appear at 53 mm intervals.)
Empty spots in the print
(There are spots on the paper where the print is missing.)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly installed or different
from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) EP toner cartridge, (2) Fuser assembly, (3) Heat roller
(4) Pressure roller

Remedy (if not normal)
Replace the paper.
(Instruct the user to store the paper in a
place where the humidity is low.)
Replace the EP toner cartridge.
Replace the heat roller.
Replace the pressure roller.
