(The paper is damp.)
Does the problem recur if new paper is used?

(The EP toner cartridge is defective.)
Does the problem recur if the EP toner cartridge is
replaced with a new one?

(The heat roller is defective.)
Are there any irregularities, such as scratches, foreign
matter or grime, on the heat roller?
(If the problem is caused by a faulty heat roller, the
after-image will appear at 54 mm intervals.)

(The pressure roller is defective.)
Are there any irregularities, such as scratches, foreign
matter or grime, on the pressure roller?
(If the problem is caused by a faulty pressure roller,
the after-image will appear at 53 mm intervals.)
After-image in the print
(The toner is not completely cleaned off the drum and the image is reproduced
again on the next page.)
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly installed or different
from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) EP toner cartridge, (2) Fuser assembly, (3) Heat roller
(4) Pressure roller, (5) Drive assembly, (6) HVPS, (7) MCU PWB

place where the humidity is low.)
