3.6 Faulty Thermistor

Step
1 (Initial Check)
Are any parts broken, malformed, incorrectly installed
or different from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) Fuser assembly, (2) MCU PWB,
(3) LVPS assembly
2 (Check the thermistor in the fuser assembly.)
Is the sensor on the thermistor dirty or is any foreign
matter adhering to it?
3 (Check the thermistor in the fuser assembly.)
Is there a resistance of 200 to 350 KΩ between J13-
4PIN↔J13-5PIN with the fuser assembly at room
temperature (18~22°C)?
• Be sure that the power supply is turned OFF and
the fuser assembly is not hot.

Replace the part or
install the part
correctly.

Replace the fuser
assembly or clean
the sensor.
