8. Remove the retaining clip and the intermediate gear.
9. Remove the screw and the carriage shaft gear.
Installation notes
1. If the carriage shaft has not been moved, install the indicator
set to the number noted in step 3.
2. Perform the AFTA service check (see Print Head Gap Service
Checks).
