How to Install the System Controller
Card
Caution – The system controller card is not a hot-pluggable component. You must shut
down the system and disconnect all the power cords from the system before
performing this procedure.

Before You Begin

Caution – If you are using an antistatic wrist strap to protect against electrostatic
discharge, connect it to a properly grounded surface, such as a nearby equipment
rack, or a nearby system that is connected to a power source.

What to Do

1. Locate the slot for the system controller card, near the bottom of the system I/O
board.
Caution – If you are using an antistatic wrist strap to protect against electrostatic
