Front Wheel

Removal

Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle is stabil ised
and adequately supported. This will help prevent it from
falling and causing injury to the operator or damage to
the motorcycle.
1 .
Position t h e m otorcycle on a paddock stand.
2 .
Raise and suppo rt t h e front of t h e motorcycle.
Do not allow the calipers to hang on the bra ke hoses as
this may damage the hoses.
Damaged hoses could ca use bra ke fai l u re leading to loss
of control and a n accident.
3.
Detach and support the front brake cal ipers (see
page 14- 16>.
Note:
lt is not necessary to disconnect the brake
hoses.
4.
Slacken both pinch bolts at the lower end of the right
hand fork.

Release and remove the wheel spindle, which is
th readed into the left hand fork.
6.
Remove the wheel a nd the wheel spacers.

Place the wheel on wooden blocks.
this may damage the disc a n d could lead to an accident.
To
prevent
wheel
a bsolute clea n liness and ensure there is no d i rt i n g ress
to the wheel bearings while the wheel is rem oved.
8.
Tho roughly clean all components and inspect for
wear or damage.
