•
Ensure that the thrust pad does not fall out
during assembly of the tool.
1 1 . Hold the centre of the tool to prevent rotation then
tighten the d raw-bolt in the centre of the tool to
release the taper seating of the rotor from the
cra n kshaft.

12. Withd raw the rotor and tool as a n assembly and then
sepa rate the tool from
Woodruff Key and the tool thrust pad from the
cran kshaft.

Assembly

1 . Refit t h e Wood ruff key t o t h e cran kshaft.
2 . Assemble t h e rotor t o t h e keyway o n t h e cra n kshaft,
ensuring the Woodruff key remains i n position.
Do not use tools to tig hten service tool
Tig hten the tool by hand only. Over-tig htening of the
tool will lead to damage to the a lternator rotor.
3 . Refit too l T 3 8 8 0 3 75 t o prevent t h e cran kshaft from
rotating, ensuring the rotor is free from oil a n d the
tool is not over-tig htened.
4. Tig hten the rotor retaining bolt to

3 . Centre bolt
5. Remove tool T3 8 8 0 3 75 .
6 . I nstal l a new 0-ring t o t h e alternator spray bar.

Locate the stator to the engine cover.
8. Fit the cable retainer b racket and tig hten a new
retainer bolt to
6 Nm.
9 . Tighten the new stator bolts t o
120 Nm.
