Fuel System/Engine Management
At the th rottle gri p end, slide off the rubber boot and

release the screws which secu re the two ha lves of the
throttle grip guide to each other.

Separate the two halves of the g u ide then release the

inner cables from the th rottle grip.
1. Opening cable
2. Oosing cable
Detach the cables from the motorcycle.

Inspection
Check that both the throttle cables operate smoothly,

without sticking or binding. Replace the cables if
there is a ny doubt as to their correct o peration.

Installation
Locate t h e cables t o t h e fra me following t h e routi ng

noted during remova l.
Engage the in ner ca ble nipples to the th rottle grip,

ensuring the 'opening' cable is located in the u pper
slot in the throttle g ri p, and the 'closing' cable is
located to the lower slot.

Assemble the two halves o f the cable g u ide ensuring

that the outer cables are correctly located in the
guide a n d the guide is positioned on the handlebars
as noted prior to removal. Fit a n d tighten the two
screws to 3 Nm.

Refit the boot.

the top of the cam and the 'closing' cable to the
