Fuel System/Engine Management
Ignition Switch and Immobiliser
Antenna
Note:
The immobiliser antenna is integral to the
ignition
switch
and
separately.
Removal
Remove the rider's seat <see page 16-13>.

Disconnect the battery, negative (black> lead first.
Remove the fuel tan k (see page 10-91).

Remove t h e two screws and remove t h e ignition

Without damaging t h e ignition switch and u s i n g a

suitable dri l l, careful ly drill out the head of the shear
bolts secu ring the ignition switch to the frame.

Disconnect the ignition switch m u ltiplug.

Noting the harness routing, remove ignition switch.

Remove the remainder of the shea r bolt from the

Installation
Installation is t h e reverse of removal, noting the

following:
Install new shear bolts and tighten until the
heads shear off.

Throttle Cable
Adjustment
Note:
Minor adjustments to the opening cable can
be made using the adjuster near the throttle
grip end of the throttle. Where a correct
setting cannot be achieved this way, the
adjusters at the throttle end of both cables
must be used. The opening cable must be
set first followed by the closing cable.

2. Correct setting, 2-3 mm
Remove the rider's seat (see page 16-13>.
