5 .
Position the rear bra ke caliper and ca rrier t o the
swi nging arm as noted prior to removal. Align the
boss on the swinging arm with the slot on the carrier.

Refit the wheel spacers, fla nged spacer to the right
hand side (flange facing outwa rds> and plain spacer
to the left.

Lift the rear wheel into position, align ing the wheel,
caliper carrier and swinging a rm.
Check that the spacers a re still correctly positioned.
I ncorrectly fitted wheel spacers will cause a dangerous
riding condition leading to loss of motorcycle control
and an accident.

Ensure the rig ht hand chain adjuster block is installed
on the wheel spindle.
9.
Fit the wheel spindle with the threaded end facing to
the left.

Fit the left hand chain adjuster block a n d a new rear
wheel spindle nut.

Keeping the cha in adjuster blocks in contact with the
adjuster bolts, tig hten the wheel spindle nut to
1 10 Nm.

Lower the motorcycle to the g round.
lt is dangerous to operate the m otorcycle with defective
brakes; you m ust have your authorised Triumph dealer
take remedial action before you attempt to ride the
motorcycle again. Fai l u re to take remedial action may
red uce braking efficiency leading to l oss of motorcycle
contro l and an accident.
