Pinpoint Tests
Test
1
Check cable and terminal integ rity:
- ECM pin 801
- ECM pin 820
- ECM pin A10
2 Check cable for short circuit:
- ECM pin A 10 to ground
3 Check cable continuity:
- ECM pin A 10 to sensor pin 1
- ECM pin 820 to sensor pin 2
- ECM pin 801 to sensor pin 3
4 Check cable for short circuit:
- ECM pin A 10 to ECM pin 801
- ECM pin A 10 to ECM pin 820
5 Reconnect harness, clear fault code and run O K
engine to verify fault cleared

Locate and rectify wiring fau lt, proceed to
test 5
Proceed t o test 4
Locate and rectify wiring fau lt, proceed to
test 5
Renew throttle position sensor, proceed to
test 5
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
test 5
Action complete - quit test
