The
use
of tyres
other than
specification section of the owner's handbook may
adversely affect handling lead ing to loss of control or an
accident.
Use
the
recom mended
tyre
combinations g iven in the owner' s handbook.
Do not mix tyres from different manufacturers or tyres
from the same manufacturer but from another option.

Always check tyre pressu res before riding when the
tyres are cold. Operation with incorrectly inflated tyres
may affect handling leading to loss of control and a n
accident.
Operation with excessively worn or damaged tyres wil l
adversely affect handling a n d control lead ing t o loss o f
control or a n accident.
Do not i nstall tube-type tyres on tubeless rims. The bead
will not seat and the tyres could slip on the rims, causing
tyre deflation that may result in a loss of vehicle contro l
and an accident.
Do not install a n in ner tube i nside a tubeless tyre. Th is
may cause instabil ity and excessive heat build-up may
ca use the tube to burst resulting in rapid tyre deflation,
loss of vehicle control and an accident.
Accurate wheel balance is necessary for safe, stable
handling of the motorcycle. Do not remove or change
any wheel balance weig hts. Incorrect wheel balance may
ca use instability leading to loss of control and an
accident.
When wheel balancing is req u i red, such as after tyre
replacement, see you r authorised Triumph dealer.
Only use self-adhesive weig hts. Clip on weig hts will
damage the wheel and tyre resu lting in tyre deflation,
loss of control and a n accident.

When replacement tyres or inner tubes a re required,
consult
you r
a uthorised
arra nge for the tyres a n d i n ner tubes to b e selected, in a
correct combination, from the approved list and fitted
according to the tyre and i n ner tu be manufacturer's
instructions.
When tyres and in ner tubes a re replaced, al low time for
the
tyres
and
inner
tubes
<approximately 24 hours). D u ring this seati ng period,
ride cautiously as an incorrectly seated tyre or i nner tube
could cause i nstability, loss of m otorcycle control and an
accident.
I nitially, the new tyres and in ner tubes will not prod uce
the same handling characteristics as the worn tyres and
inner tubes and the rider must a llow adequate riding
distance

accustomed to the new handling characteristics.
24 hours after fitting, the tyre pressures m ust be
checked and adjusted, and the tyres and inner tubes
examined for correct seating. Rectification m ust be
carried out as necessary.
The same checks and adjustments m ust also be carried
out when 100 m i les have been travelled after fitti ng.
Use of a motorcycle with inco rrectly seated tyres or
inner tubes, incorrectly adjusted tyre pressu res, or when
not accustomed to its handling characteristics may lead
to l oss of m otorcycle control and an accident.
Note:
Some brands of approved tyre marked
'TU BELESS' may be suitable for use with an
inner tube. Where this is the case, the tyre
wall will be marked with text permitting the
fitment of an inner tube.
