Installation
Thoroughly clea n the tra nsition piece to cyl inder

Refit the transition pieces t o the head incorporating

new 0-ri ngs to the joint face. Tighten the transition
piece fixings to 12 Nm.

If the i n jectors have been removed from the fuel rail,

refit them to the rail, ensu ring the injector locating
peg is fully engaged in the slot in the rail.

Fuel System/Engine Management
Refit the i n jectors and fuel ra il t o the throttle bodies.

Tighten the fuel rail screws to 3 . 5 Nm.

Re-attach the throttle cables (see page 10-104>.

The throttle body clips m ust be positioned as shown
below. If the cli ps are not positioned as shown th is could
cause the throttle to stick, l ead ing to loss of motorcycle
control and an accident.
Refit the throttle bodies to the transition pieces and

secure with the cl ips.

Adjust the th rottle cables <see page 10-104>.

Reconnect the idle speed contro l stepper motor
